When we undertake to study and record our family pedigree we are frequently just collecting names and dates. However, we soon realize that there is far more important information that we should be recording for future generations. Developing the stories of our ancestors, their challenges, failures and their triumphs is as important as their names. Our ancestry and their origins help define who we are and why we live where we do. Uncovering our family tree and making sense of our lineage is our greatest challenge.
