I was reviewing past articles in my Family Tree Magazine© and I found an entry that I had previously missed. When I first looked at it I realized that I had not used my Census research properly. I'm guessing that many of you have run into the same problem.

I was researching my family tree over the weekend, and realized that I had missed a number of opportunities to find a particular ancestor that I have been researching for several months. Have you ever missed a great opportunity to find one of your long-lost ancestors?

I have been researching tools, tips and techniques on the internet and was amazed to find all of the new and incredible tools that are at our fingertips. We all know about the free search tools that are available. And many of us subscribe to services that provide access to huge databases. But when you first start your family tree research it's difficult to know how and where to start.

My dream was to make the site, a one-stop resource for family historians, from beginners to seasoned genealogists. By making the site more interactive everyone will be able to learn and share their experiences while researching and documenting their family's heritage.
