What service should I choose for my family tree research?

Ancestry.com has the world's largest collection of family history databases. Their service makes it easy to search, discover, and preserve your family heritage for future generations. By joining this service, you instantly access billions of historical records, millions of family trees, plenty of easy-to-use tree-building tools and a worldwide community of fellow genealogy researchers.

Let me show you how to access these services.

To start, simply Ancestry.com This takes you to the main page. Part way down the page, on the left side, you will see "Or start searching our collections". Select "Search our records". From here, simply fill in the last name of an ancestor that you would like to search for in the "Grandparents are a great place to start:" box. Click the "Start Search" button. If you find any results then it is important that you sign up for their free trial. Don't wait another moment. The signup for the membership offer is on the right side of the page.

Once you have enrolled there are many research facilities and tools that you can use to research your family tree and its heritage. You can search billions of indexed historical records very quickly. Here are just a few examples of the databases that are available:
