Ancestry - Together Your Family Can Search for Your Roots

It may not be as exciting as a race, but by working together your family can search your ancestry tree and discover stories of courage and spirit from your family history.

Genealogy has been a serious hobby for many people over the years. The effort to trace ancestors from generation to generation helps us identify with who we are and what we stand for. Many families have several people who actively search for their roots as a team. Each one follows different family tree lines and then they get together to review and verify their findings. This makes the work go easier and also helps to strengthen the bond between them. Finding out that you have a celebrity or famous person as an ancestor in your trees can be very exciting.

Searching through the family Bible or other treasured scrapbook from your Grandma's living room bookcase can identify many new avenues to search as well as documented roots of the family tree that may have been kept for many generations. Some families can trace their trees all the way back to their ancestors that landed in North America. Others can trace back even further to their ancestry in Europe or the British Isles.

Finding the stories your ancestors can reveal the hardships that famine, wars and religious persecution in your family history that has been lost to our children over the generations. Imagine the pride when your genealogy research uncovers a powerful story from your history, tracing the roots of your trees back to Plymouth Rock or to famous royalty in a foreign land.
